about

PL:
5-kanałowy utwór poświęcony zagadnieniu translacji ludzkich fal mózgowych (EEG) na dźwięk jest częścią cyklu kompozycji i działań warsztatowych nawiązujących do koncepcji Neutrdromu Jerzego Rosłowicza. Wiele procesów w ludzkim mózgu zachodzi poza intencjami i świadomością, wzory rytmiczne i faktury tworzone przez fale mózgowych rejestrowane encefalograf są podstawą zastosowanego procesu kompozycyjnego odbywającego się pomiędzy podświadomością słuchaczki a odpowiedzią akustyczną przestrzeni.

Beniamin Głuszek - twórca instalacji dźwiękowych, teoretyk muzyki. Główny przedmiot jego zainteresowań stanowi udźwiękowienie elektrycznej czynności ludzkiego mózgu (EEG). Swoje prace prezentował w Czechach, Holandii, Szkocji i Polsce – m.in. na festiwalach „Warszawska Jesień”, „AudioArt”, Przegląd Sztuki „Survival”.

ENG:
The piece, dedicated to the translation of human brain waves (EEG) into sound, is part of a series of compositions and workshop activities referring to the concept of Jerzy Rosłowicz's Neutrdrom. Numerous processes occurring in the human brain are independent of intentions and consciousness; rhythmic patterns and textures created by brain waves and captured by an encephalograph provide the basis for the compositional process that takes place between the listener's subconscious and the acoustic response of the space. A month after the composition's première, we introduced its interactive version based on motion detectors, sound and, of course, EEG.
In Żyjnia, the piece was presented as an interactive installation.

Beniamin Głuszek – sound installation artist, music theorist. The main focus of his interests is the sounding of the electrical activity of the human brain (EEG). He has presented his works in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Scotland and Poland, at such festivals as Warsaw Autumn, AudioArt and Survival Art Review.
