The narrative sound installation based on a composed conversion of the interior and the soundscape of trees is an encounter with the environmental perspective of sound art, which departs from the anthropocentric perspective of the Western tradition of working with sound material. The work refers to the modernist vision of searching for
harmony between the natural environment and the space of human activity (which is strongly pronounced in the architectural design of the Chemistry Auditorium). It also draws on the post-humanist approach of those contemporary artists whose interdisciplinary attitude to conservation analyses the relations between contemporary culture and natural systems. It is an invitation to delve into amplified sounds and visual afterimages of nature, which results not only from Deleuze and Guattari’s postulate of “a sound machine (not a machine for reproducing sounds)” as the ultimate aim of music, but also from a willingness to take a stance in the public debate about the Białowieża Primeval Forest. Narracyjna instalacja dźwiękowa oparta na komponowanych przetworzeniach wnętrza i środowiska dźwiękowego drzew to spotkanie z enwironmentalną perspektywą sound artu zrywająca z antropocentryczną perspektywą zachodniej tradycji pracy z materiałem dźwiękowym. Praca odwołuje się do modernistycznej wizji poszukiwania harmonii pomiędzy środowiskiem naturalnym i przestrzenią ludzkiej aktywności (obecnej silnie w projekcie architektornicznym Audytorium Chemii), jak i posthumanistycznej postawy współczesnej sztuki realizującej interdyscyplinarne podejście do zagadnień ochrony środowiska, badającej relacje pomiędzy współczesną kulturą a systemami naturalnymi. To zaproszenie do zanurzenie się w amplifikowanych dźwiękach i wizualnych powidokach natury jest nie tylko wynikiem poszukiwań postulowanej przez Deleuze i Guattariego “maszyny produkującej (nie zaś reprodukującej) dźwięki jako ostateczny cel muzyki”, ale i głosem w społecznej debacie nad losem Puszczy Białowieskie i drzew w naszym otoczeniu., Wyrazem “konieczności wychwycenia nowych wybrzmień i tonów kombinacyjnych w takich, zdawałoby się, znanych, wyświechtanych melodiach jak dychotomie natura–kultura, porządek–chaos, umysł–emocje.” (Piotr Tkacz, Glissando #31/2017)
