Utwór z serii Default Logic jest zadumą nad muzycznością nagrań terenowych. Wynika z moich prób integracji instrumentów akustycznych z zasłyszanymi środowiskami dźwiękowymi. Równolegle pochylam się nad pamięcią i to ona, w obliczu nowej formuły przygotowanej dla Radio Żyjnia, wysuwa się na plan pierwszy. Anamnesis, Remanence oraz Phonomnesis – pojęcia zaczerpnięte z koncepcji „Sonic effects”, której celem jest zrozumienie i opis zjawisk występujących w środowiskach dźwiękowych (głównie zurbanizowanych) – stanowiły dla mnie pierwotne założenia kompozycji.

Seria Default Logic jest próbą poruszenia kwestii percepcji i złożoności procesów, które ją stanowią.

Michał J. Biel - w przeszłości silnie związany z poznańską oraz wrocławską sceną muzyki improwizowanej. Aktualnie mieszka w Kopenhadze W swoich pracach integruje dźwięki środowiskowe z instrumentami akustycznymi, porusza kwestie percepcji i jej modalności, pamięci czy form interakcji z zasłyszanymi środowiskami dźwiękowymi.

The piece contemplates the musicality of field recordings. It is a result of my attempts to integrate acoustic instruments with the existing sound environments. At the same time, I reflect on memory and it is precisely this memory that comes to the fore in the context of the new format developed for Radio Żyjnia. Anamnesis, Remanence and Phonomnesis – notions derived from the concept of "sonic effects", the aim of which is to understand and describe phenomena occurring in (mainly urbanised) sound environments – served as my primary principles of the composition.
Default Logic series is an attempt to explore the perception and complexity of processes that constitute it.

Michał J. Biel – in the past strongly affiliated with the improvised music scene in Poznań and Wrocław, he currently lives and works in Copenhagen. His works integrate environmental sounds with acoustic instruments, address issues of perception and its modality, memory and forms of interaction with sound environments.
