Field Survey is a study of violent acts expressed through the dynamism of body and sound movements. Smoleński in his work develops the practice of studying the physical properties of instruments, the essence of sound processes and the construction of loudspeakers. Instead of the physicality of stimulating the sound by the subject, what appears in Field Survey is an attempt at showing the flows of energy and air between fighting bodies by means of music itself and its space.

Konrad Smoleński w wielu swoich pracach rozwija praktykę studium fizycznych własciwości instrumentów, istoty procesów dźwiekowych czy konstrukcji głośników. W ścieżce do filmu Field Survey zamiast fizyczności toru wzbudzania dźwieku tematem mamy do czynienia z próbą oddania przepływu energii i powietrza pomiędzy zmagającymi się ciałami przy pomocy samej muzyki i jej przestrzeni.
